Adam took  over my strength and conditioning and rehabilitation regime in 2007, as an elite water polo athlete struggling to regain selection in the australian squad I needed help in getting back on track.  Adams enthusiastic approach and dynamic programs got me into the shape i needed to be in to regain selection and then continue on to play professional water polo in Greece.  TrewRehab has been a great support to our local Victorian Tigers team over the years and Adam continues to look after my programs and manage my injuries, as an Osteopath and Athlete I highly recommend TrewRehab.  Thanks Adam for all your hard work and effort.

I've been training with Sam for 18 months. Every one our sessions is different and the benefits have been huge. Sam has helped me find the right way to exercise for me, whether it be in the gym or out in the park. He's incredibly committed and focussed on my progress. His knowledge as an exercise physiologist means that every exercise I do is benefitting me in the best way, without anything having to hurt. He helps me to feel motivated and he is very supportive. I have no hesitation in recommending him to people of all levels of fitness.

After having a top surgeon complete a ankle arthroscopic surgery in December I needed a top exercise physiologist to get me running again.

In 2010 I couldn't run at all.  In 2011 I've been buzzing on endorphins!! Adam Martin has played no small part. With Adam's assistance I was able to not only get my ankle into top working order but I went a step further and became the fittest I've ever been in my life, breaking my marathon PB by nearly ten minutes a few months after I thought it was" very touch and go" if I could even complete another marathon. Adam assessed my ankle and concluded I had lost confidence and he set several programme's to rotate and get my ankle working back to how it should. These tested my ankle without doing anything to the point of pain. Despite the surprise of my working colleagues, six weeks to the day of the operation I was snowboarding a 50 day season coupled with 50 days apres ski and Adam was genuinely interested in the progress of my ankle as he offered to liase by e-mail to Colorado advising what strengthening exercises would be most beneficial. Towards the end of the season my ankle was taking full impact from hitting moguls at high speed and was landing jumps like I used to before my ankle troubles. The very day I arrived back, I was keen to get running again motivated massively by the Colorado altitude. Adam again assessed that my ankle was up to marathon training and helped get me through a hiccup with a suspected heel fracture. By doing a gait analysis he was able to iron out some bad habits and ensure I had a natural running stride again. A session on the legs was so intense my legs were jaded for days.

If I wasn't saving for another marathon trip I would be using Adam on a more regular basis. The motivation I have gained is such that there's no reason why I can't go another ten minutes quicker again. I'm a very sporty guy and need to thank Adam hugely for playing his enthusiastic part in getting me back towards the top of my game again!

I began using the services of TrewRehab in 2008; when I was emotionally & physically exhausted by the deterioration of my quality of life due to a back injury sustained in 2004. I have never looked back.

I am unaware if the guys at TrewRehab realise the impact they have on their clients lives, so I write this testimonial for Adam & Sam to try and express my sincere gratitude to them for "taking me off the ledge". Now, not a week goes by where I dont see Sam and my life has improved dramatically because of my regular sessions. I see Sam more than some of my family and friends and hence he too has become like family. I am so reliant on my twice weekly sessions, that I cannot imagine a time without them. The reality is that I have suffered unbearable pain for such a long period of time.

Now, I can see light at the end of the tunnel. Some days are good, some are great and others need improvement but I do know that since beginning TrewRehab my life has only gone forward in leaps & bounds (& lunges).

After having an undiagnosed hip injury for over 2 years requiring surgery, my body confidence, physical ability and strength was at an all time low.

Working with Adam at Trewrehab was fantastic in helping me regain my strength and confidence to return back to training and exercise. He took the time to understand my history and what I had been through and built a program for me that was respectful of my injury but at the same time, pushing me each time to regain my strength and fitness.

The difference with Trewrehab was that the staff listened and responded and I’m back on track.

Amazing Work Adam. I wanted to pass on my thanks to Adam and his team at trewrehab.

I believe the work we did together both before and after my knee operation got me back up and running much quicker than i would have by any other process.

I would (and will) recommend you and your team to anybody that is going to go through this type of process. Thanks Again

Nigel Dalton, 47, came to trewrehab originally for post surgery services for his Aortic Valve Replacement. Nigel has now been a regular client of ours as he continues along his path to recovery. He has written a story about his ordeal and his triumph over his very serious surgery.

Below is a link of his story.

Sam Schluter-Hughes put together a package for the support of a group of DVA Veterans as a follow on from the DVA Heart Health Program.

Each member of the group has had a program formulated to meet individual needs. We have had fantastic support from all of the trewrehab staff and in particular Sam, who has helped the group stay focused on improving their health through regular exercise and made the exercise sessions enjoyable and the guys feel welcome at the gym.

My only wish is that more Veterans would get to know the benefits of regular exercise and join in with us at trewrehab. Its a great time and comes with some great health rewards.

I came to Trewrehab to overcome a shoulder injury from last year. But I am also doing  other exercises now for general strengthening. I am doing balancing work on the Bossu Ball, wrist strengthening, abdominal work and upper body work.  There are a lot of books and magazines out there that say it is important as we get older to maintain our muscle mass and general fitness. A lot of people know they should go to the gym but a very small proportion of the population actually go. It helps a lot to have a good trainer and a good program.

I have been very happy with the trainers at Trewrehab, as they understand what exercises are best for strengthening particular areas. Also they seem to know the right pace to go. Some personal trainers  push a bit too hard and make you feel you am training for the Olympics. This often leads to injuries and makes the training a waste of time. On the other hand the trick is to progress the exercises enough so that there is a general increase in strength. Also I have found it is helpful to train with people who understand exercise physiology. I am happy to recommend Trewrehab team.
